I am an emerging artist practicing on Treaty One Territory in Winnipeg,
Manitoba. I will be graduating in 2023 with my Honours degree in Studio
Practice at the School of Art at the University of Manitoba.
My artwork explores the ways in which art can mediate the interactions
between the mind, body, and surrounding world. I use abstraction,
fragmentation, and collage to engage with tangible manifestations of
psychological and artistic theories such as phenomenology and post-humanism through the lens of personal
experience. I'm interested in how our lives are processed by the brain, coloured by memory and
stored within the body, and finding the faultlines that underscore these processes, shaping perception
of reality on an individual basis.
Overall, my work can be interpreted as a constant search for meaning
through identity, lived experience, and the world at large.
